Take advantage of a once in a lifetime opportunity! Tommy is pleased to offer Apprenticeship positions at his training facility located in Powhatan, Virginia. This is an incredible opportunity for several individuals to learn from one of the most experienced and trusted horseman & trainer in the equine industry.

Tommy's Apprenticeship program is for a period of 3 years
Program will provide training experiences based on Tommy's highly regarded and successful CPR Horsemanship training methods, including:
- Starting horses
- Finishing & fine-tuning horses
- Working with problem horses
- Nutrional & Health Management
- Farm Management
- Business Management
- Grooming techniques for the show ring
- Basic grooming techniques
- Working with rescue horses
- Show experience at Class A, Regional and National Levels
Basic and Advanced Horsemanship tips & techniques
All this and so much more...

Position includes a small weekly salary and on-site housing which will be shared with the other Apprentice. This will be equivalent to a college experience except there is no tuition, no books, housing is included and you can earn a small salary while you're learning! This is an experience and opportunity that will last a lifetime and prepare you for a successful career in the equine industry.

Candidates must be hard-working, dedicated, be available to travel and possess a desire to learn the art of horsemanship from the most accomplished and authentic horseman in the industry, Tommy Garland.

Upon successful completion of the Apprenticeship program, individuals will be certified Tommy Garland Trainers and will have the option to continue working with Tommy at the Tommy Garland Training Facility or Tommy will help you find a position in the industry.
